QLD Quality Smoke Alarms

QLD Quality Smoke Alarms supplies products in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. Please read this policy carefully before purchasing.


30-Day Returns (Unopened Products Only)

QLD Quality Smoke Alarms offers returns within 30 days of purchase for unused products, subject to the conditions below:

Returns will only be accepted where:

  • The item is unused

  • The item is in its original, unopened packaging

  • The packaging is in resalable condition

  • Proof of purchase is provided

  • The return request is made within 30 days of the purchase date

If approved, a refund will be processed to the original payment method.

Shipping costs are non-refundable. Return postage is the responsibility of the customer unless the item was received damaged.


Change of Mind

Change-of-mind returns are permitted within 30 days only if the product remains unopened and unused.

No returns will be accepted for:

  • Opened or unsealed packaging

  • Installed products

  • Products damaged during installation

  • Products that have been used, tested, altered, or tampered with

Once packaging has been opened or installation has commenced, the product is deemed accepted.


Opened or Installed Products

No refunds or returns will be accepted for:

  • Open boxes (regardless of condition)

  • Installed smoke alarms

  • Products damaged during or after installation

Due to safety and compliance requirements, installed smoke alarms cannot be returned.


Shipping Damage

If an item arrives visibly damaged due to shipping, you must notify QLD Quality Smoke Alarms within 48 hours of delivery and provide clear photographic evidence.

If approved, a replacement or refund may be offered at our discretion. Claims submitted outside this timeframe may be refused.


Faulty Products & Warranty Claims

QLD Quality Smoke Alarms does not directly process warranty repairs or manufacturer fault claims.

If a product is believed to be faulty (on arrival or after installation), the issue must be lodged directly with the manufacturer under their warranty process:

All assessments, repairs, replacements, or outcomes are determined by the manufacturer under their warranty terms.


Exclusions

QLD Quality Smoke Alarms accepts no responsibility for faults or damage caused by:

  • Incorrect installation

  • Electrical issues

  • Environmental conditions

  • Failure to follow manufacturer instructions

  • Wear and tear or misuse


Australian Consumer Law

This policy operates in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product has a major failure, you are entitled to a replacement or refund as required by law.
